Berlin, without wasting your time
About The Berlin Around
An independent travel publication about Berlin and the places worth reaching from it.
Why this exists
Most Berlin travel content is written by people who have never queued at the wrong entrance of the Pergamon, missed the last regional train back from Potsdam, or discovered that the restaurant everyone recommends stopped being good three years ago.
We write for the traveller who has a limited number of days and wants to spend them well. That means saying what is worth your time, what is not, and why.
How we work
Every guide is written from first-hand visits and checked against official sources for opening hours, ticketing and transport. When something changes, we update the guide and record the date rather than quietly rewriting history.
We publish slowly. A guide only goes live when it would genuinely change how someone plans their trip.
In six languages
The publication is written in English, Spanish, German, Polish, Italian and French. Translations are edited rather than machine-generated, which is why some guides appear in one language before another.
